Avtech, which develops products and services for digital air traffic management systems, announces that Eurowings' trial period is transitioning to a commercial contract containing Aventus Full Flight wind uplinks.

The contract period is initially two years, starting December 1, 2019.

”"The value of the contract is currently difficult to assess due to the dependence on verified savings for Eurowings," Avtech writes in a press release.

Eurowings will be the second airline within the Lufthansa Group to utilize Avtech's existing framework agreement with Lufthansa's parent company. Eurowings currently has approximately 140 aircraft in operation.

The contract does not include additional services such as the Sigma turbulence warning service or the new Cruise Profile Optimization.
