SMHI has issued a class 2 warning for storms in the northern Lapland mountains on Thursday morning.
The winds can reach speeds of 30 meters per second on the bare mountains, and the gusts can become even stronger, says Malva Lindborg, meteorologist at SMHI.
– You should definitely be careful. Visibility is non-existent, and there will be snow flurries at the same time. It is dangerous to be up in the mountains when the storm starts, says Lindborg.
