Vara Concert Hall has been awarded the LiveApan prize for Organizer of the year during Sweden Live in Västerås. Sweden Live is an annual event where Sweden's leading touring companies meet music promoters and partners from all over the country.

LiveApan is an award that is presented in five categories in connection with Sweden Live each year. Award recipients are Swedish event organizers who have made significant contributions to Swedish live music in the previous year, or over a longer period of time. The award is primarily intended to reward solid work, entrepreneurship, innovation, determination and the power to inspire others within live music in Sweden. 

The price to Organizer of the year is awarded to Vara Concert Hall with the following justification:

”"In a small municipality with only 16,000 inhabitants, this year's award winner has created a unique platform for performing arts. They themselves say "everyday culture", and both the scope and breadth are impressive. What is offered from the house's stages ranges from chamber music to pop, jazz, buskis, comedy and much more. In a period shorter than 15 years, little Vara has become Västergötland's cultural residence city. We are rewarding this achievement with the prize as Organizer of the Year - the prize goes to Vara Concert Hall.".
