Ryanair expects to cancel the vast majority of its flights starting today, March 24, until further notice. The reason is the border closures and lockdowns implemented by European governments to reduce the spread of the coronavirus COVID-19, according to a press release.
Passengers who have booked tickets for flights that are stopped by the lockdowns will receive an email with options within a week or two.
”"We currently expect not to operate any flights in April and May," Ryanair writes, referring to the fact that it is ultimately the authorities who decide how long the flight suspension will last.
