Acutely crisis-stricken Norwegian has reached an agreement with the companies that lease aircraft to the group, the Norwegian airline announces.

Negotiations on a rescue plan have been ongoing for several days. Norwegian is dangerously close to bankruptcy and the deal was what was missing before the extraordinary general meeting that begins at 8:30 a.m. today.

Then the shareholders will vote on the management's rescue plan and if it is not accepted, bankruptcy is threatened.
