The Swedish Environmental Protection Agency has granted a total of 390,000 SEK in an initial investment in charging stations for electric aircraft in Sweden. The support goes to AB Dalaflyg, Dala Airport AB and Fyrstads Airport AB. The goal is to create a charging infrastructure in the Dala region, along the West Coast and connect with Norway.

Fyrstad Airport expects to be able to replace approximately 700 flight hours with electric aircraft annually. The measures are to be completed in 2021. The Swedish Environmental Protection Agency estimates that this will reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 900 tons over the life of the project.

The Swedish Environmental Protection Agency has also received applications for support to purchase electric aircraft, but they are still under processing.
