Norwegian Air will make a comeback with a focus on the Nordic countries. This was stated by the company's CEO Jacob Schram in a speech at Norwegian's annual general meeting on Tuesday, writes Finansavisen.

Jacob Schram admitted in his speech that the company has grown too fast.

”"We have probably grown too quickly in long-haul. We now want to scale back and concentrate on routes that have proven successful," he said.

According to the CEO, the core of the airline's strategy is to "consolidate the Nordics".

”We have a good position in this market and we want to strengthen that position further,” stated Jacob Schram.

He further said that Norwegian has become known for innovation, something the company wants to continue to live up to.

Earlier on Tuesday, the company announced that it is withdrawing an order for a total of 97 Boeing aircraft and that it intends to initiate legal proceedings against the aircraft manufacturer.
