The National Institute of Public Health (FHI), Norway's equivalent of the Public Health Agency, has submitted a recommendation to the Norwegian government to "red list" six Swedish regions, they write on their website.
This would mean mandatory quarantine for those entering from the regions in question.
These are Östergötland, Blekinge, Värmland, Uppsala, Dalarna and Örebro. The FHI states that these regions have had over 20 new confirmed cases of infection per 100,000 inhabitants in the last two weeks.
In addition to the Swedish regions, the recommendation also applies to two Danish regions: Zealand, minus the capital region, and Midt-Jylland.
FHI also recommends that six European countries be redlisted: Iceland, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Cyprus and the Faroe Islands.
