The US will maintain the current tariffs on European Airbus aircraft at 15 percent, and on other European goods at 25 percent.

US Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer says the EU has not done enough to comply with the World Trade Organization's ruling, and that the US is now starting a new process to reach a long-term solution.

Airbus writes in a statement that it deeply regrets the decision to remain with the tariffs.
