Just days after the announcement that Norwegian is closing its long-haul operations, an Irish court has decided to wind up one of its subsidiaries in the country.
On Friday, a judge made the decision to liquidate Norwegian's subsidiary Torskefjorden Leasing, which has served as an operator for 24 Boeing planes that have been loaned to the group.
None of the creditors opposed the decision, writes E24 with reference to the Irish Times.
Torskefjorden Leasing will be the first of Norwegian's subsidiaries to be wound up. Four more companies are in receivership in Ireland. In addition, the Norwegian parent company is undergoing a receivership process in Norway.
