Boeing, the aircraft manufacturer hit by double crises, reports a loss of $15.25 per share in the fourth quarter. Revenue is reported at $15.3 billion, compared to $15.1 billion according to Refinitiv's analyst estimate.

Boeing has not only been affected by the aviation crisis caused by the pandemic, but has also been grounded for the accident-stricken 737 MAX model.

On Wednesday, however, the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) announced that a modified version of Boeing's 737 Max aircraft model has been given the go-ahead to start flying in Europe again.

The changes required by the agency include software updates, a redesign of the plane's electrical system, maintenance checks, updated operating manuals and training for the plane's crew, according to CNBC.

The 737 Max has been grounded for almost two years, after being involved in two fatal crashes in a short period of time.

For the full year, the loss is reported at $11.9 billion, or $23.25 in loss per share.

Boeing shares are trading down over 3 percent in pre-market trading.
