In the mountains, there is concern about an increased spread of infection in connection with the sports holidays that begin next week, reports Sverige Radio Ekot.

”"This past week, the number of cases has clearly increased again and we have several clusters in different areas throughout the county, so this is really not good," says Micael Widerström, infectious disease physician in the Jämtland Härjedalen Region, to the radio.

At the same time, several ski resorts are reporting that visitors have become less able to keep their distance and follow restrictions.

”"Now more than ever, it is important that we really try to adhere to these recommendations and restrictions so that we do not get this third wave that it now looks like we are entering, at least here regionally," says Widerström.
