Couple charged with corona scam at Arlanda

Remove

A couple from Strängnäs tried to fly from Arlanda with fake Covid-19 certificates. Now the two are being charged with using a false document, writes Strengnäs Tidning.

It was when the couple tried to check in that the staff there became suspicious about the certificates. And when the staff called the company mentioned in the certificates, the couple was not in their records.

The man admits to the crime, but says he does not know where the certificates came from, but that it was his wife who arranged them.

The wife, who denies any wrongdoing, says the couple did not have time to take a test through 1177 and turned to a private alternative. The woman further says she did not know the certificates were fake.
