The Canadian government and the struggling airline Air Canada agree on a rescue plan to help the airline

Air Canada will gain access to the equivalent of SEK 40 billion, in exchange for, among other things, refunding travelers who were forced to cancel their bookings due to the pandemic, resuming some regional routes, and limiting payments to executives.

Air Canada has 15,000 employees since laying off 20,000 at the beginning of the pandemic.
