Stromma Sweden will start sightseeing tours in Visby from the summer of 2021. Through the establishment, Stromma is developing the tourist offer together with local players and around ten jobs will be created on Gotland.
Starting in June, the well-known red sightseeing buses will be visible in Visby and connect different tourist destinations. The buses will be so-called hop on hop off tours that will serve the major tourist destinations around Visby, such as Kneippbyn, the city wall, the ferry terminal and Lummelunda.
- – We are now working with a number of local representatives in the tourism industry in Visby to create a service that fits in with other businesses. Our goal is to be able to develop this even further in the future, both in the summer season and other parts of the year, says Oscar Carheden, head of Stromma's sightseeing operations.
A handful of buses will have their headquarters in Visby all year round. This will also provide around ten new seasonal jobs on Gotland, with the ambition to develop the business during the rest of the year.
