The EU is lifting its travel restrictions for Americans, allowing non-essential travel to the Union, according to a statement from the European Council.
The US ends up on the "white list", which now also includes Albania, Hong Kong, Lebanon, Macao, North Macedonia, Serbia and Taiwan.
The list already includes Australia, Israel, Japan, New Zealand, Rwanda, Singapore, South Korea and Thailand. China is also set to be added to the list if it acts similarly towards EU citizens.
The latest changes are expected to take effect in the coming days.
