The Swedish and Danish governments are issuing a loan facility of SEK 1.5 billion each to the airline SAS.
The loan facility can be used until December 31 and repayment must be made no later than the turn of the year 2026–2027, the Swedish National Debt Office writes in a press release.
”"We are pleased that the credit line is now in place and grateful for the support from our main owners. The facilities are intended to create a liquidity buffer and complement ongoing activities with cost savings and other liquidity-strengthening measures," says Magnus Örnberg, CFO at SAS, in a press release.
