SSoon, Swedes will once again be able to holiday in countries such as Thailand and Mexico. From 1 October, this will be possible as the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs lifts its travel advisory against travel outside the EU. The travel company TUI welcomes the decision and saw a 30% increase in traffic to its website on Friday afternoon.
At last, we can travel again. From 1 October, the travel advisory against travel outside the EU will be lifted. For TUI, it is primarily sales of holidays to three major destinations – Thailand, Mexico and Cape Verde – that will be positively affected by the decision. These are some of the most popular destinations for Swedes during the winter months. Many Swedes have been waiting to book a winter holiday, and traffic to the company’s website increased by 30% shortly after the announcement from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
