While many Swedes are planning trips abroad for the fall break or Christmas, reports are coming in that the spread of COVID-19 is increasing around the world. So what should those longing for sun and warmth think?

Preparedness for additional costs
Since November 1, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has no longer imposed travel restrictions due to COVID-19 (but for other reasons), which means that home insurance applies.
According to Kajsa Beusang, the exception is that anyone who tests positive for Covid upon arrival in, for example, Thailand and is placed in quarantine must cover the costs themselves.
– Your home insurance or travel insurance will probably not cover it. If you are prepared to travel, you must also be prepared to incur additional costs.
