First gender-neutral X-passport issued

The first passport with an X indicating gender was issued in Denver, USA, writes AP.

It is a milestone in the recognition of rights for people who do not identify as either male or female, US authorities announce.

Next year, more people will be given the opportunity to cross an X in their passport.

“When a person receives identification documents that reflect their true identity, they live with greater dignity and respect,” says a US diplomatic spokesperson for LBTQ rights.
