Corona restrictions back in Denmark

Remove

After weeks of a sharp increase in the number of infected people, corona restrictions are now being reintroduced in Denmark. Starting today, everyday life will be more difficult for Danes who cannot show a corona passport.

”"Corona passport is completely fine with me," says Peter, who buys sausages at Kultorvet in Copenhagen. Those who don't have a passport, well, that's their problem, they chose it themselves, he says.

Denmark has one of the world's highest vaccination rates, but the infection is now spreading mainly among young unvaccinated people, and the government has said it is prepared to introduce even more restrictions if necessary. For example, negotiations are starting today to make it legal for employers to require corona passports in the workplace.
