Listed Copenhagen Airports, Kastrup, registered the highest number of air passengers in October since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020.
Passenger numbers rose during the month to 1.6 million, compared to 1.3 million in September, reports Marketwire.
”The desire to travel is driven by several factors: partly the many choices available, partly that three out of four Danes are fully vaccinated, that the corona passport works in Europe, but also that travel restrictions have been removed in practice, which has made travelling easier and more transparent,” said Peter Krogsgaard, the airport's Chief Commercial Officer, in a statement.
The 1.6 million who travelled via Kastrup in October corresponds to approximately 58 per cent of the activity that prevailed in October 2019, the year before the pandemic.
Copenhagen Airports' shares had risen 0.3 per cent on the Copenhagen stock exchange at 11:10 am.
