13 out of 61 air passengers on planes from the Netherlands have tested positive for the omicron variant, Norway's head of infectious disease control Frode Forland tells VG.
The Dutch health authorities themselves have not yet released the information publicly, according to VG.
It was on Saturday that Dutch media reported that several passengers on two flights from South Africa were most likely infected with the new virus variant omicron. Now tests show that 13 of the 61 flight passengers are carrying the new virus variant.
The flight landed in the Netherlands on Friday morning and the more than 600 passengers were tested for corona and were not allowed to leave the plane for several hours.
