A suspected dangerous object has been found at Arlanda Airport in Stockholm.

The police have a major operation at the scene, with several patrols present.

– It is a bag that needs to be examined. The circumstances surrounding it are such that we must take these measures for security reasons, says Daniel Wikdahl, press spokesperson for the Stockholm region.

Parts of Arlanda's construction have been evacuated while the police work on site.

– There is a nervous atmosphere here. They shouted an important evacuation announcement over the loudspeakers, says Robert Lövgren, who is one of those who was allowed to leave the hotel.
