Train disruption after fire could last for weeks

Remove

The fire in a switchyard south of Knivsta last night will likely affect train traffic for several weeks, says the Swedish Transport Administration's press communicator Katarina Wolfram.

There is currently a major impact on train traffic north from Stockholm and vice versa, due to this fire.

Those affected are now receiving information, according to Mikael Grinbaum, press communicator at SJ. "We are taking train by train, with information to passengers about what their options are for getting to their destination."”
