A fire broke out on Friday morning on a cruise ship in the Ionian Sea in the Mediterranean.
288 people are reported to be on board – 237 passengers and 51 crew members. According to Greek police, several boats have been sent to the ship to assist.
The captain has now requested that the ship be evacuated.
The ship, which is Italian-flagged, was en route from the Greek city of Igoumenitsa to Italy.
