Strömma Turism & Sjöfart AB and Serco, (international provider of services to the public sector), have been given renewed confidence to operate the Djurgårdsferry in Stockholm. The service is operated by the jointly owned company Djurgårdens Färjetrafik AB and is valid for 6 years.
The Djurgården ferries transport over two million passengers in Stockholm every year. The ferries are important for both Stockholm's tourism industry and public transport and run between Slussen, Skeppsholmen and Djurgården.
- We are of course delighted to have received renewed confidence from Region Stockholm to operate the Djurgårdsferry. We will continue to provide the best possible service to both Stockholmers and tourists, says Patric Sjöberg, CEO of Strömma Turism & Sjöfart AB.
- Serco is an international company with broad knowledge in the public sector and transport procurement, and Strömma Turism & Sjöfart AB has local knowledge and expertise in service and putting the customer's needs at the center. We hope that this fruitful partnership can lead to more transport contracts in the future.
Patric Sjöberg further explains that the success of the collaboration between Serco and Strömma Turism & Sjöfart lies in the fact that the companies come from two different industries with experiences that complement each other and strengthen the end result.
