
The police have introduced a new feature that will make it more difficult to mass-book appointments. To prevent robot services from automatically booking appointments, anyone booking an appointment must now fill in a special box.
“You need to provide a numerical or alphabetical combination in an answer box,” says Magnus Roglert, head of unit at the police's legal department.
– These are things that robots shouldn't be able to do.
The queue times to obtain a new passport have become extremely long because many people did not renew their passports during the pandemic.
A market has emerged where people have booked large numbers of passport appointments, which are then sold. To counter this, it is mandatory to provide the first and last name of the person applying for a passport when booking an appointment. The name cannot be changed afterwards.
