At 9:15 p.m., a SAS plane took off from Arlanda to fly to the Danish city of Billund.

But just 30 minutes after takeoff, the plane had to wait – due to an engine problem.

– It has turned around because they have discovered an engine problem. They decided to go back and land and change planes, and let the passengers travel on another one, says Alexandra Lindgren Kaoukji, press manager at SAS.

It is not yet clear what type of engine problem occurred, but she wants to assure you that it was not some kind of emergency.

– When we get an indication, we make sure to land as soon as possible, then we call in technicians and find out what the cause is.

Swedavia confirms the information.

– The plane landed and it was a normal landing, says Ellen Laurin, press officer at Swedavia.
