Ryanair will introduce requirements for a form of language test for South African travelers, Reuters reports.

All South Africans travelling to the UK must complete a questionnaire in Afrikaans, a language spoken by only 12 percent of the population.

According to the company, the requirement is being introduced to curb the problem of counterfeit South African passports. Travelers who do not complete the form will be denied entry and will receive a refund.

The United Kingdom does not require a language test for entry into the country.
