Continued congestion at Arlanda

The queues and congestion at Arlanda continue, and the situation on Tuesday afternoon is tense but under control.

On Tuesday morning, the queue time for security at Terminal 5 was about an hour.

– We have a peak in the morning and one in the late afternoon when there are a lot of people, said Peter Wärring, press officer at Swedavia.

In the afternoon, the situation remained tense but under control. There were no major deviations compared to previous afternoons, according to Swedavia's press service.

Peter Wärring urges travelers to check with the airline when check-in opens and try not to arrive at Arlanda too early.

Most airlines encourage their travelers to arrive at the airport two to three hours before departure.

“Traffic outside Terminal 5 is flowing as it should. We haven't had to redirect any traffic,” says Wärring.
