Driving across the Öresund Bridge has never been more popular. Last week (week 30), 207,000 vehicles crossed the strait – a new record for the connection between Sweden and Denmark.
– This is the first time that over 200,000 unique vehicles have driven over the bridge in one week, says Öresund Bridge's communications manager Lisa Sandager Ramlow.
It is primarily leisure traffic, and in both directions, that is behind the large flow of travelers, she adds.
On Saturday, 32,908 vehicles drove over the bridge, which is also a record for the number of crossings in one day.
