Airbus has received an order from Etihad Airways for seven new-generation A350F freighters, following an earlier commitment announced at the Singapore Airshow, a press release said.
The cargo plan will upgrade Etihad’s cargo capacity. The order expands the partnership and adds to Etihad’s existing A350-1000 orders, five of which have been delivered.
”This additional cargo capacity will support the unprecedented growth we are experiencing within the Etihad Cargo division. Airbus has developed a remarkably fuel-efficient aircraft which, together with the A350-1000 in our passenger fleet, supports our commitment to achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2050,” said Tony Douglas, CEO of Etihad Aviation Group.
