The Swedish, Danish and Norwegian pilot unions have given the green light to the pilots' new collective agreement, the unions write in press releases.
After weeks of mangling and over two weeks of pilot strike, SAS SAS -0.46% -management and the Scandinavian pilot unions finally agreed on a new collective agreement on July 19. But before it comes into effect, all Scandinavian pilot unions must approve the agreement in member votes.
After the vote, the agreement must also be approved by the SPF association board. A final result is expected next week.
The agreement must also be approved by a US court where SAS has filed for so-called Chapter 11 proceedings, or bankruptcy protection, in the US.
If the agreement had been voted down, the conflict would have flared up again and the parties would have been forced to return to the negotiating table.
