On August 15, Eric Wickell will step into the role of CEO of AB Destination Småland. He has 20 years of experience from Växjö Småland Airport AB, and as someone born and raised in Ingelstad, his heart beats especially for Småland.

– There has been great interest in this role. The choice fell on Eric Wickell as his expertise will benefit our future work, says Thomas Ragnarsson, chairman of Destination Småland.

Eric Wickell most recently comes from Advisory AB where he was CEO and partner. His experience as a self-employed person gives Eric a great understanding of the challenges, but also the opportunities that companies in the hospitality industry face. For three years, Eric has also been involved in creating, recruiting, training and operating the new Scandinavian Mountains Airport in Sälen and together further developing Sälen's hospitality industry.

– I look forward to continuing Destination Småland's fantastic work and development in the hospitality industry with confidence. After a couple of years in a different industry, I hope to be able to come up with innovative and new ideas to further develop the region.
