An unusually large number of people were stopped at Arlanda's security checkpoint on Monday.

Police describe the situation as chaotic.

– It is so incredibly disruptive to other travelers that now and then the police have gone there to bring order, says police spokesperson Ola Österling.

– One had neither a passport nor a ticket, but wanted to ”fly airplanes.” Another had two or three small knives and a third was a sports shooter with ammunition.

The latest example concerns a person with suspicious liquids in their carry-on luggage.

According to the police, the situation has escalated, whereupon border police were called in.

– It's loud and noisy. It's unclear what kind of liquids it is, says Ola Österling.
