A French court convicts Yemenia airline of manslaughter after a plane crash in which an Airbus 310 crashed into the Indian Ocean in 2009. A twelve-year-old girl was the only survivor of the disaster.

The trial concerned the 65 French citizens who died, and the injuries of the surviving girl. A total of 152 people died in the crash.

Yemenia airline was ordered to pay a fine of 225,000 euros, equivalent to 2.5 million kronor. It must also pay over one million euros to two groups of relatives of the victims.

The company has previously denied responsibility for the incident.
