Anko van der Werff, CEO of SAS, apologizes to everyone who was affected during the strike this summer.

– It wasn't who we are, or how we want to present ourselves, he tells Gothenburg Post.

He assured that those affected will be compensated, something he has done before.

– The summer was a total disappointment. What we did to a lot of passengers is absolutely not good. I sincerely apologize for that, says van der Werff.

The conflict between SAS and the pilot unions lasted for 15 days before the parties could agree on a new collective agreement.

The debt-ridden airline lost close to two billion kronor on the conflict.
