Soon it will finally be time for another winter season and SkiStar is loading up with lots of news at all destinations for big and small: in addition to improved snow production, the focus continues on everything from rental and sale of used ski clothing and skis, more activities such as Snow Parks, Skicross track and cross-country skiing camp with Charlotte Kalla, to better digital experiences for a more carefree mountain experience. In addition, the new six-chair lift Stjärnliften opens in Åre, which is an important step in increasing capacity and guest satisfaction.

We know that the great interest in winter holidays in the Scandinavian mountains continues and therefore it feels extra good that this season we can offer a lot of new things at all destinations. If you can't wait to ski until the cold is here, there is always SummerSki in the new Stockholm Hammarbybacken available during the autumn, says Stefan Sjöstrand, CEO and President of SkiStar. 

A selection of improvements to the ski facilities and new products:

• I Are The old two-chair lift, WC-lift, is being replaced by the new six-chair lift, Stjärnliften – an express lift with a capacity for 2,600 people per hour in winter and 1,000 people in summer. It is the first lift in Sweden to be built to transport guests in both summer and winter.
• We are adding a new SkiStar Snow Park with the help of SkiStar ambassador and Olympic medalist Jesper Tjäder, and Skicross track in Åre Dove
• I The seal We have built a new water reservoir in Hundfjället for greater access to water for snow cannons, which will triple the snow capacity in the ski area in the long term.
• I Lindvallen, In Sälen we will get a new button lift and children's area at Timmerbyn which will provide better ski-in ski-out for all cabins in the area.
• I Vemdalen The classic Turisten slope will be widened and extended to the top of Hovde so that you can easily enjoy skiing in Turisten combined with resting your legs on the way up in Hovde Express. The entire slope will also be illuminated
• I Trysil several slopes are being widened and the Høgekspressen lift will have better capacity. Fageråsen will have lighting in the Skarven lift and thus a better range of night skiing, including the SkiStar Fun Ride
• I Hemsedal Fjellheisen is being renewed, and we are moving and further developing SkiStar Snow Parks for all levels and widening several slopes as well as more and better lighting including snow production
• SkiStar Youth Camp by Charlotte Kalla: For three days in December in Sälen, Charlotte Kalla and her team inspire and develop young cross-country skiers in cross-country skiing, motivation and nutrition. Training sessions and lectures are interspersed with fun activities, challenges and socializing. Coaches and leaders are Charlotte Kalla together with her former training team Magnus Ingesson (Charlotte's coach), Patrik Ingesson (Charlotte's club vallare), Emma Lindblom (Charlotte's dietitian) Thomas Nilsson (Charlotte's psychologist). Read more
