Comfort Hotel is opening another hotel in Gothenburg. Now within walking distance of Liseberg and the Swedish Exhibition and Congress Centre. The new hotel is the result of the current Quality Hotel Panorama being completely renovated and transformed from a conference hotel into the most affordable hotel in the Liseberg area.
In 2023, Quality Hotel Panorama in Gothenburg will be completely renovated. The hotel's interior will be completely transformed and the property's facade will be replaced. As a result of the renovation, the hotel will also change its hotel chain from Quality Hotel to Comfort Hotel.
– Gothenburg is the destination in the Nordic region that Nordic Choice Hotels has invested the most in over the years. While we are now completing the full-service hotels Clarion Hotel The Pier, Draken and Karlatornet, we see a clear need for more affordable accommodation in the area around the Swedish Exhibition and Congress Centre, Universeum and Liseberg. The area with its attractions is one of the Nordic countries' most popular among visitors and although we see that new hotels are being built in the area, there is a lack of truly affordable hotels. We are now changing that, says Nordic Choice Hotels Chief Development Officer Daniel Stenbäck.
The 336-room hotel with its new focus and target group creates further opportunities for Gothenburg to grow as a destination.
– Together with Nordic Choice Hotels, we have seen an opportunity to add something new to Gothenburg, and the area around Liseberg, that is currently missing. We are therefore entering a time when we are transforming the current hotel into a new, fresh hotel with urban design, digital solutions and with the least possible environmental impact, says KAB Fastigheter's CEO Johan Andersson.
The hotel will be converted one half of the property at a time. This approach will allow the hotel to remain open throughout the renovation period.
Nordic Choice Hotels and KAB Fastigheter have also signed a new lease agreement that extends the current agreement for 20 years from the date the renovation of the property is completed.
