The airline SAS has agreed to changed terms in the leasing agreements for aircraft and equipment, the company announces in a press release. 

The terms cover ten counterparties and relate to a total of 36 aircraft. 

”"The agreement represents an important step in the work to reconfigure the aircraft fleet and achieve the SEK 7.5 billion in annual cost savings that are part of the SAS Forward plan," the company writes. 

The contract amendments must be approved by a court in the US. A prerequisite is that the restructuring plan that SAS is working on under US bankruptcy protection comes into effect.
