American airports were today subjected to cyberattacks carried out by the Russian hacker group Killnet, writes TT.

The attacks targeted airports in Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Phoenix and St. Louis, among others. 

They flooded their websites with incorrect traffic and for a short time they were taken offline completely.

Apart from the websites, airport operations were not affected. 

The hacker group is behind several cyberattacks linked to the war in Ukraine.
