The pressure is heavy on the Swedish Agency for Administrative and Financial Affairs (Kammarkollegiet) after the travel company Detur filed for bankruptcy. Since the announcement of the bankruptcy, the authority has received over a thousand compensation claims, reports P4 Jämtland.

– It is an extreme situation, says Ingela Allenbert, attorney-at-law at the Swedish Board of Administrative and Financial Services to P4 Jämtland.

It was on Monday that Detur announced that the company was filing for bankruptcy.

Because there are so many people who want compensation through the travel guarantee, the processing time can be long. Currently, it is estimated that it will take four to six months, according to Kammarkollegiet.
