The British trade union RMT will hold four 48-hour strikes in December and January after failing to agree a new pay package, accusing the government of preventing a deal.
”"Despite all the efforts of our negotiators, it is clear that the government is directly interfering with our attempts to reach a settlement," the RMT writes on its website.
The strikes will be held on December 13, 14, 16 and 17, as well as January 3, 4, 6 and 7. More than 40,000 railway employees will participate.
In addition, there will be an overtime ban on the railways from December 18th until January 2nd.
