At the Helsinki Exhibition and Convention Centre in January, you can once again, after a long break, feel the international travel atmosphere and sample various travel experiences, benefit from concrete benefits and tips, and interview experts from more than 60 countries face to face. After years of anticipation, the fair is expected to be very lively. The travel fair will take place on 20–22 January 2023 (Matka Trade Day for industry professionals on 19 January).
Northern Europe's largest travel event, Resemässan, is being held after a three-year hiatus. The recovery from the pandemic has started quickly and the industry event is now expected to raise the public's travel fever to an unprecedented high. For visitors, Resemässan is a day trip around the world in itself. Here, you can get acquainted with different destinations and cultures and get tips on routes in addition to trade fair offers and taste experiences.
Greece, which has already committed to serving as the Travel Fair's partner destination in 2021, will continue this role. The cooperation will continue at the request of both the Greek National Tourism Organization and the Travel Fair. According to a survey conducted by the Finnish Travel Industry Association – SMAL, Greece will again be the most popular holiday destination for Finns this year.

The travel fair is Northern Europe's largest professional event in the travel industry, and it is preceded by the business event Matka Workshop Day on 18.1.2023, where hundreds of companies do business during short meetings booked in advance. Thursday 19.1.2023 is the day itself for industry professionals with an accompanying program, while Friday is planned with students in mind. Jobs in the tourism, accommodation and events industry are presented by companies that have profiled themselves as Employers of the Future.
People want to experience Greece's many islands and cultural destinations
Greece will be both seen and heard at the Travel Fair in January. The destination with partner country status will be presented both in the stands of several Greek operators and in the event program.
