Neste and Airbus collaborate on sustainable aviation fuel

Remove

Finnish petroleum company Neste has signed an agreement with aircraft manufacturer Airbus to promote the use of sustainable aviation fuel, SAF, in the aviation industry, according to a press release.

The collaboration will focus, among other things, on the technical development of SAF, testing of future production techniques and investigating how to achieve 100 percent use of SAF.

Today, all Airbus aircraft are certified to fly with up to 50 percent SAF. The partnership will play a key role in bringing the figure to 100 percent by the end of the decade.
