Arlanda has suffered a technical failure on Wednesday morning. 

For at least an hour, travelers have been unable to check in at counters and it has not been possible to pay in shops and restaurants. 

– Nothing is happening here right now. You can't buy or pay for anything here at Arlanda. All the restaurants are closed, a man who is at Arlanda tells Aftonbladet.

According to Swedavia, the problem is due to two buried cables.

– We are trying to understand the extent. What I know is that two fiber cables have happened to be dug up, both the regular and the reserve. This means that there will be some problems with both check-in and parts of the commercial sector at Arlanda, says Peter Wärring, press officer at Swedavia.
