Stromma recruits 800 people for the tourist season

Stromma has not yet noticed any recession, and bookings are on the contrary higher than last year. Stromma is now recruiting around 800 people for the upcoming season. This includes everything from guides and kitchen staff, to bus drivers and boat captains.

– We are seeing unexpectedly high booking pressure in our operations. Compared to last year, sales are 15 – 20 percent higher. The more difficult economic times do not seem to have caused Swedes to reduce their experience account, says Peter Henricson, Head of Sweden at Stromma.

Recruitment needs Stockholm – 650 people 

  • The archipelago boats: Guidesticket sellers, deckhands, captains, kitchen and serving staff. 
  • Stockholm Sightseeing: Ship's personnel
  • Hop on Hop off buses: Bus drivers
  • Other activities: Activity staff, restaurant staff

Recruitment needs Gothenburg – 150 people 

  • The Göta canal boats: Commanders, mates, sailors and deckhands. As well as cooks, butlers, stewards and serving staff.
  •  The Paddan boats: Captains, deckhands, ticket sellers and guides.
  • The archipelago boats: Ship's crew, chefs, butlers and wait staff.
