Summer vacation in Ibiza? Spanish authorities are warning tourists about summer travel due to an increased risk of dengue fever, reports Sky News.

The background is an outbreak of the infection that causes headaches, fever and vomiting.

Right now, authorities are warning of "low risk", but between May and November, the risk rises to "moderate".

The alarm comes after six German tourists contracted dengue fever while visiting the Balearic Islands.

Dengue is caused by a virus that is spread by mosquitoes.
