A relay race in teams of two to four people, which this year will be held at Hundfjället and Tandådalen in Sälen. The event will take place on September 30th and a full weekend with a focus on the team and running awaits the participants.
EXECUTE is a relay race where runners compete in women's, men's and mixed classes. Each team consists of three or four runners. There are also 50 team places for those who want an even bigger challenge and want to compete in the duo class. In total, there is room for 2000 participants, which corresponds to approximately 450–500 teams. Lotta Lindblom, event manager at Marathongruppen, sums up the emotions on launch day as follows.
– We have worked hard for the past six months to achieve this and it feels great to finally be able to show it off. It is of course no secret that the pandemic years have been tough and have meant that new major investments have not been at the top of the agenda. That is why it feels extra great that we are now in a place where we dare to move forward and launch a completely new product. A product that we have noticed that our participants have been missing., says Lindblom.
This year the event will be held at Hundfjället/Tandådalen in Sälen. The hope is that the event will then be able to move around from year to year. You must be at least 18 years old in 2023 to participate.
Also participating in the event is SkiStar, with whom the Marathon Group began a long-term collaboration last year.
